Nella Pruss was born in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg). She graduated from the Kazan State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in English teacher (1963).

1963 to 1964, she taught at a secondary school No. 127 in Kazan.
1964 to 1993, she was a lecturer at the Kazan State Institute of Chemical Technology.
1993 to 2016 – Rector of the Tatar Institute for Promotion of Business (TISBI University of Management).
2016 to 2021 – Rector of the University of Management TISBI.
2022 – President of the University of Management TISBI.

Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Humanities, Academician of the International Academy of Management, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, member of the Russian Federation Commission for UNESCO at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of UNESCO Chairs in the Russian Federation, Head of the UNEVOC Center.
