5–6 October, the VIII International Scientific and Practical Forum “Open Data — 2026” was held in the Altai Republic. The University of Management “TISBI” presented two projects developed by its Artificial Intelligence Laboratory using Yandex resources.
The forum was organized by the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, Tomsk State University, and Altai State University. Over the years, the forum has established itself as the leading expert platform for fostering strategic partnerships between universities and the IT industry.
Representing the University of Management “TISBI” as speakers at the forum were Olga Fedorova, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Head of the Department of Information Technology, and Lyudmila Tarenko, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology.
The forum featured two research and applied projects developed at the University’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory using Yandex resources.
The project presented by Olga Fedorova is titled “Developing a System for Assessing the Alignment of Research Papers with Strategic Priorities Using Natural Language Processing and Semantic Analysis.” Its main objective is to automate the assessment of research outputs—including research projects, graduation theses, and dissertations—for their alignment with Russia’s priority areas of development. The system uses NLP, TF-IDF, and semantic analysis methods to classify texts and determine their relevance to strategic objectives.
The project presented by Lyudmila Tarenko is titled “Developing a Web Service for Labor Market Analysis Using Large Language Models (LLMs) to Design University Educational Programmes.” The project focuses on creating an intelligent web service that aggregates data on job vacancies and employer requirements. The service helps identify skills gaps among graduates and generate recommendations for updating academic curricula.
