Education of Students with Special Needs Was Discussed at TISBI
A meeting of working group of the Republican Interuniversity Center to work with disabled people was organized at the University of Management “TISBI”.
There were 17 representatives of the Republic Universities, ministries, civil society organizations for persons with disabilities, vocational education establishments, and rehabilitation centers for children with disabilities at the meeting.
One of the important issues on the Agenda was the holding of the Republican stage of the VIII National Championship on professional skills among disabled people and persons with disabilities “Abilympics” in Tatarstan.
In 2021 the University of Management “TISBI” and Kazan State Institute of Culture established 5 platforms “Abilympics”.
There will be 85 competences at the Republican stage in 2022. The regional competition will last till May 25, 2022.
A Braille Display project for training people with visual impairment was presented at the meeting. The Republican Interuniversity Center and the University of Management “TISBI” will launch this project.
Following the meeting of the working group, Nella Pruss, the Head of the Republican Interuniversity Center, the President of the University of Management “TISBI”, a Chairperson of the Commission on Inclusive Education of the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Republic, announced a conference of the University of Management “TISBI” which will include a workshop on inclusive education.
