Another millionaire added to the university’s collection

Damir Kasimov, a second-year Business Informatics master's student from “TISBI” University of Management, became the winner of the seventh stage of the Student Startup competition. His project "Learn", a web-based personalization service for educational content based on generative artificial intelligence, earned the recognition of the jury, received high marks and brought the university another million-dollar grant and another millionaire, who contribute to the university's success.
According to Damir, the idea of the project was born out of a simple request: to make learning fast, interesting and tailored to a specific person. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that any material can be customized to suit the interests of a particular user, which increases interest in studying bulky material in a concise and convenient format. Additionally, the service generates tests based on the completed material so that the user can consolidate knowledge in practice.
According to the student, the path to victory began back in the 3rd or 4th year of his bachelor's degree, when the team tried to promote another project to a "Student startup", but did not even go into reserve. "From that moment on, we began to think about which project the jury would be interested in, and one evening we were offered the idea of creating an educational platform where everyone could receive the necessary information in a concise and fast manner," explains Damir. The team interviewed friends: as it turned out, such a tool is interesting and necessary for many, especially when you have to analyze large amounts of information in a short time. That's how the project got the green light.
The university supported the initiative from the very beginning. "TISBI" helped to register a legal entity, and representatives of the university accompanied students at all stages. "Other winners of past student startups also help, they tell us what to do in a given situation and give us hints," Damir adds.
The main task now is to complete the first stage and submit reports. The project is planned to be further developed after the grant is implemented. "The main part of the funds will be spent on salaries of developers, designers and AI engineers, as well as on overhead costs," the winner clarifies. The team is confident: "Learn" will help many people learn complex material faster and make learning truly personal.
