The Engineering Heritage Competition for students was dedicated to the World Engineering Day.
The II All-Russian Engineering Heritage competition was devoted to the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development. World Engineering Day, proclaimed by UNESCO, is aimed to raise awareness of the role of engineering in modern life, the impact of engineering and technologies on modern life and sustainable development.
The competition was organized by School No. 334 of St. Petersburg. There were 50 teams from 25 Russian cities.
Natalia Larionova, ASPnet Executive Director in the Russian Federation, and Vera Knyazeva, President of the Consortium for the development of school engineering and technological education in the Russian Federation, welcomed the members of teams. They highlighted the impact of engineering for promotion SDGs.
Students of 6 and 7 grades fulfilled the tasks of the competition. They demonstrated solid knowledge of theory and digital competence.
There were several workshops at the competition. The workshop on Sustainable Development Goals: Guide to Save the World was organized by International UNESCO Chair at the University of Management “TISBI”. The participants together with Natalia Larionova got to know SDGs and solved the problems of environmental preservation.
