Nella Pruss, the President of the University of Management “TISBI”, made a presentation at the Round Table which was hosted by UNESCO.
The Round Table on best scientific and social practices in projects in the field of cultural heritage was held on the initiative of the UNESCO Chairs in St. Petersburg, with the support of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the Coordinating Committee of UNESCO Chairs in the Russian Federation and the Committee for the state preservation of historical and cultural monuments of St. Petersburg.
The representatives of the UNESCO Chairs in Russia participated actively in the work of the Round Table. There were discussed the issues of sustainable development, continuity, civil liability, preservation of the world cultural heritage, cooperation between the Executive and educational establishments in order to promote the ideas of UNESCO. The participants told about the international, youth, social and science projects in the sphere of preserving cultural heritage. An important aspect of the discussions related to the issues of digital information of the world cultural heritage.
Nella Pruss, the President of the University of Management “TISBI”, the Head of the UNESCO Chair and the National Coordinator of the UNESCO ASPnet in the Russian Federation shared experience on collaboration between the UNESCO Chair and UNESCO ASPnet in her report.
She noted that every member of UNESCO Network Projects should realize the importance of the cultural heritage in the country, strengthen the capacity building and positive experience of cultural heritage for sustainable development.
In her speech, Nella Pruss cites the words of Mintimer Shaymiev, the inspirer and founder of “Vozrozhdenie”: “We have to fulfill our historic mission – preserve what we have and transmit this to future generations”.
