Professor of the University of Management “TISBI” in the Russian Academy of Science
Aleksandr Mezyaev made a presentation about the current situation in the South Africa at the meeting of the Academic Council.
The meeting was held at the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Science on November 29, 2022. Aleksandr Mezyaev, Prof., the Head of the International Law Department at the University of Management “TISBI”, gave a speech.
Aleksandr Mezyaev is a visiting professor at the University of Johannesburg. In 2022 he took part in political congresses on the development of foreign policy of the government coalition of the Republic of South Africa.
Professor provided an analysis of the political and legal situation in the country. Particular attention was paid to the relationships with the Russian Federation, both on the bilateral basis and within BRICS.
After the presentation of the report, a discussion was held. There was also a need for greater collaboration between Russia and the South Africa, including the forthcoming Russia-Africa summit in July of the next year.
