The faculty of law generated and hosted a series of events dedicated to the development and popularization of modern legal science

The workshop on topical issues of social protection of citizens was organized together with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Services of the Republic of Tatarstan. Marina Gorshunova, the Director of the Republican Resource Center of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, was the event presenter. She told about innovative automated information system, social assistance measures, volunteer movement which is actively involved in social support for the disadvantaged groups of population.

Andrey Belov and Nikolay Khrunin, the representatives of the security office of PJSC Sberbank, gave a workshop on legal aspects of banking security. The participants discussed the issues of legal regulations of banking offences committed using social engineering.

There was a round table discussion on the constitution of the Russian Federation: theory, history and development prospects moderated by Alena Soldatova, head of the department of theory and history of state and law of the University of Management “TISBI”.

There was the All-Russian lesson “Human Rights” moderated by Associate Prof. Georgy Matveev. The lesson was dedicated to the Human Rights Day.

Legal debates on reasons and consequences of corrupt behavior: social and legal problems were dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day. The event was moderated by Prof. Alex Mezyaev.  The speakers expressed their opinion on social phenomenon “corruption” and confirmed the need for systematic measures to combat this. The role of young people in influencing and shaping the attitudes of the society to the corrupt behavior was highlighted.

The participants from foreign countries took part in round table discussion on actual problems of private international law moderated by Prof. Sanavbar Tagaeva.

A significant event was a joint meeting between students of the faculty of law and tutors.  Topic “Legal Regulations during situations of emergency (in the case of pandemic)” was suggested for discussion. The participants in the session explored the challenges of legal regulation in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, development of research in the field of medical law and impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the development of state and law.
