International UNESCO Chair together with the Institute of Continuing Education of the University of Management "TISBI" held a Training Course

The topic of the program was devoted to the Design Technologies in the activities of UNESCO Associated Schools. It was organized for the heads of educational institutions and teachers working in the field of international cooperation in Kazan, Magnitogorsk, Moscow, Penza, Samara, Tver, Tomsk, Cheboksary, Poikovsky village of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra,  Zilair of Bashkortostan.

The program included diverse activities. The participants discussed ICT competence in educational projects in terms of UNESCO, learned to use Microsoft tools for creating presentations with Elena Alexandrova, PhD, Head of the Department of Vocational Education Technologies, Deputy Head of the UNEVOC Center at the University of Management “TISBI”; updated knowledge in design technologies with Larisa Berezhnaya, Deputy Director of Science of the Public Educational Institution at the Lyceum of Natural Sciences at Saratov.

Students of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of the University of Management “TISBI” together with Olga Ilchenko, Deputy Vice-Rector of the Secondary Vocational Education, and Yana Avvakumova, Senior Lecturer, held an eco-lesson for participants, examined the most common ways of handling waste and practiced its sorting. Eteri Ordzhonikidze, the Head of International Projects at the Federal Research and Methodology Center for Psychology and Tolerance Education, made a speech about the international projects of the Center. Ksenia Gaverdovskaya, the First Secretary of the Permanent Delegation of the Russian Federation for UNESCO in Paris, described the main activities and development trends of UNESCO.

Albina Bikbulatova, the Head of the Social and Psychological Centre at the University of Management “TISBI”, a clinical psychologist, shared effective communication tools in the educational environment. Ilya Popov, the expert of UN volunteers, the founder of the Goodsurfing project showed how to move from idea to a project, how to evaluate the success of actions in advance, outlined 7 main criteria for evaluating a project upon applying for a grant. Elena Unkovskaya, Deputy Director of the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve, held an Arboretum tour and described the ways of solving the environmental problems of Tatarstan. Natalia Larionova, ASPnet Executive Director in the Russian Federation, held a workshop, where students shared their experience in project activities of UNESCO. She spoke about peculiar features of UNESCO Associated Schools.

The participants visited the town-island of Sviyazhsk, the Kazan Kremlin, the Old Tatar Settlement in Kazan, the Museum of the Nature and the Man, the Arboretum of the Volga-Kama Biosphere Reserve, the Raifa Bogoroditsky Monastery.

There were the meetings with Nella Pruss, the Rector of the University of Management “TISBI”, the member of the Coordinating Committee of UNESCO Chairs in the Russian Federation and ASPnet National Coordinator in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Larionova, a Deputy of Chairman of Tatarstan State Council, CEO of the Non-profit organization “The Republican Fund for the Revitalization of Historical Monuments of Tatarstan”, Grigory Ordzhonikidze, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia, the Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Ivan Belekov, Chairman of the State Assembly of the Altai Republic of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
