Nella Pruss, head of the UNESCO Chair and president of TISBI, and Elvira Sadykova, deputy director of the UNESCO Chair took part in the event.
The meeting was attended by Aleksandr Tolparov, director of International Cooperation Department at the Russian Ministry of Education, and members of the Coordinating Committee from Moscow, Kazan, Astrakhan and other cities.
At the opening were made welcome from Tatyana Dovgalenko, executive secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, deputy director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations at the Russian foreign Ministry.
The meeting organizers and members of the Coordinating Committee considered the applications for creating UNESCO Chairs in the Russian universities:
Nella Pruss acted as an expert on behalf of Higher School of Folk Arts (Academy) to create the UNESCO Chair for the Preservation, Revival and Development of National Art Crafts.
The participants of the meeting discussed the contribution of the existing Chairs to the implementation of the decisions of the 214th and 215th sessions of the Executive Board on the activities of the UNITWIN programme/ UNESCO Chairs.
The development of international cooperation was on agenda. At the end of the meeting the members have approved an action plan for 2023.
