International UNESCO Chair of the Academy of Management
"TISBI" participates in the solemn action devoted to the 65th
Anniversary of UNESCO
On December 14, 2010 the solemn action, devoted to
the 65 Anniversary of UNESCO foundation, took place in the UNESCO headquarter
in Paris.
Three former UNESCO Directors-General - Mr Amadou-Mahtar
М'Bow, Mr Federico Mayor and Mr. Koichro Matsuura, goodwill ambassadors
and UNESCO actors of the World, including A.A.Abramjan, V.N.Ignatenko,
I.Aliev, S.Aznavur, M.Singh, and other famous public figures participated
in the solemn action.
The International UNESCO Chair of the Academy of Management
"TISBI" took part in the 65th Anniversary of UNESCO ceremony
in the persons of its Chairholder, "TISBI" Rector Nella Pruss
and Executive Director of the UNESCO Chair Liliya Miftakhutdinova as a
part of the official delegation from the Russian Federation with Grigory
Ordzhonikidze, Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation
for UNESCO, and Igor Makovetsky, President of the Russian National Committee
for World Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Commission of the Russian
Federation for UNESCO

Eleonora V.Mitrofanova, President of the
UNESCO Executive Board, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation
to UNESCO announced the message from President of the Russian Federation
Dmitriy A. Medvedev, in which he noticed that "Our relations with
UNESCO demonstrate clearly how much the organisation's goals and Russia's
potential can complement each other for the good of intercultural dialogue
and affirming common human values. This forms a vital humanitarian component
in the world's efforts to eradicate the breeding grounds for extremism,
terrorism and other negative effects of globalisation. ".

Mr
Davidson Hepbern, President of the General Conference of UNESCO,
and Ms Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, greeted
all participants and paid attention to the history of the foundation and
development of the Organization and to questions of perfection of its
activity, taking into account modern international challenges, improvement
of interaction with member countries and their national commissions, and
also further advancement of universal humanitarian character of this international
organization.
The ceremony included various musical and art performances,
represented many countries and regions all over the world. Russia was
represented by the popular Russian singer and actress Alsu Abramova
as a presenter of the UNESCO Anniversary ceremony.
