Summer Language School at the GAZI University
On July 3 - August 3, 2010 students from the Academy of
Management "TISBI" studied at the GAZI University Research and
Application Centre for the Instruction of Turkish (TOMER Centre) (Ankara,
Turkey)

The group, headed by the Chief of the Tourism Department
Elvira R. Sadykova and Vice Rector for International Cooperation Lilia
T. Miftakhutdinova, consisted of 12 students from "TISBI" headquarter,
its college and the branch in the Almet'evsk city. At the TOMER Centre
they learned Turkish together with students from the Republic of Bashkortostan
and Ukraine during a month and successfully completed the baseline.

The GAZI University governing body extended a cordial
welcome to the guests from our Academy and organized a lot of events for
their leisure as sightseeing tours to the most interesting and important
cultural and historical objects in Ankara - Ataturk Mausoleum, Ethnographic
Museum, Museum of Ancient Culture, Nature Preserve "Golbasi",
botanical gardens and others.
Due to the collaboration between the GAZI University and
the International Organization of Turkic culture "TURKSOY" in
its headquarter there was held a meeting with the representative of culture
from the Tatarstan Republic Zemfira Khasanova.

Within the framework of the schooling the receiving counterpart
organized an excursion trip to Istanbul where our students got acquainted
with the most ancient historical and architectural monuments - Hagia Sophia
(Ayasofya) Cathedral, the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet) and Sulimanie Mosque,
Top-Kapy Palace, Minia-Turk Museum and the famous Bosporus.

Our group was lucky to visit several great cultural events
of the international scale organized by "TURKSOY", such as Dance
Festival of Turkic Cultures and the Istanbul International Opera Festival
held on July 2 - 23, 2010. "TISBI" students visited the opera
by Uzeyir Hacibeyli "Koroglu".

In the end of the schooling the joint group of the Tatarstan
and Bashkortostan students presented the performance of Tatar and Bashkir
national dances and songs, fragments from the Sabantuy holiday, as well
as national Turkish dancing they learned during their stay.
