films pay a visit to the Academy of Management "TISBI"
Turkish delegation participating in the VI Kazan International
festival of Muslim films visited the Academy of Management "TISBI"
on the day of the festival's opening - September 15, 2010".

Developing the cooperation with the Republic of Turkey
in the scientific and academic fields, the Academy of Management "TISBI"
regularly receives guests from different Turkish educational and cultural
institutions and high schools.
Mr. Can Ozgun, Director of the Ankara International film
festival, Mr. Hayati Tufekcioglu, Director of the Institute of Eurasia
at the Istanbul University, and Mr. Faruk Sahin, Ministry of Culture and
Tourism of Turkey, visited the Academy on September 15, 2010. The delegation
was warmly received by "TISBI" Rector Nella Pruss and Vice rector
for International cooperation Liliya Miftakhutdinova.

The principal subject for the discussions became joint
work between the Academy of Management "TISBI", as the educational
establishment with ten years' experience of training handicapped and hard-of-hearing
students, and the Academy of Open Communications in making video school-books
for training hard-of-hearing children.

Nella Pruss presented to the visitors the first cartoon
film on a sign language. The cartoon film has been sub-titled into Turkish
and with support of the Institute of Eurasia at the Istanbul University
was presented at the Istanbul film festival in February, 2010.
On having watched the cartoon film itself, Mr. Can Ozgun
estimated the importance and necessity of such films and suggested to
create similar cartoon film in the Turkish sign language, because it may
have the specificity and significant differences as many other sign languages.
According to Mr. Hayati Tufekcioglu, the Istanbul Municipality
showed interest in this project and invites the Academy of Management
"TISBI" and the Academy of Open Communications to participate
in the next film festival in 2011.

Mr. Can Ozgun advanced the opinion to announce a competition
of sign language films to invite to cooperation directors, producers and
other cinematography workers from the different countries. In his opinion,
it will help to draw public attention to the problems of people with different
handicaps.
