Master classes of the CESO expert (Canada)
On February 24-March 5, 2010 Jean Morand, the CESO
expert in the field of law, gave master classes and lectures at the Academy
of Management "TISBI".
Within the framework of the joint project with the Canadian
Executive Service Organization (CESO) on training of specialists in various
academic spheres every year for the last five years the CESO experts in
management, economics and law give master classes, seminars and advanced
training courses for students, post-graduates, undergraduates and the
teaching staff of the Academy of Management "TISBI".

This year at the Faculty of Law the CESO expert Jean
Morand as the invited professor gave advanced training courses on "Legal
system of the Common Law countries (on the example of the Canadian legal
system)" for the "TISBI" teaching staff and post-graduates,
100 academic hours. He also gave lectures on "Comparative analysis
of legal systems of the Russian Federation and Canada" for students
and undergraduates of the Law Faculty, 70 academic hours.
During the courses the following international legal
aspects were revealed:
- Constitutional law of Canada,
- Constitutional law of countries of the English-Saxon legal system,
- International legal experience of Canada,
- International legal aspects of the Russian-Canadian relations,
- Canada as the subject of international law,
- The Supreme Court of Canada: powers and judiciary practice,
- Parity of the International law and the Internal law in Canada,
- Features of teaching international and a constitutional law in Canada,
- Common and specific features in teaching disciplines in foreign higher
educational institutions,
- International legal aspects of Quebec secession out of the Federation,
- International legal aspects of the taxation (experience of Canada),
- Questions of possible collisions between the Russian and Canadian
legal systems in international cooperation,
- Fundamental rights and freedom of the person in the Canadian legal
system.
