GAZI UNIVERSITY DELEGATION VISITS "TISBI"

On June 9-11, 2010 the Academy of Management "TISBI" received guests from the Gazi University (Ankara, Republic of Turkey)

Representatives of the Gazi University (Gazi Universitesi) visited the Academy of Management "TISBI" in October 2009. This was a return visit to a formal call of "TISBI" governing body at the head of the rector Nella Pruss in January 2010, when the two institutions signed the Agreement on Cooperation.

The delegation was headed by the Rector of the Gazi University - Prof., Dr. Riza Ayhan.

First Vice rector - Prof., Dr. Metin Aktas, General Secretary - Prof., Dr. Bahtiyar Akyilmaz, Vice rector for International Cooperation - Dr. Furat Purtas also were the members of the delegation.

Along with the Gazi University the official representative of the Tatarstan Republic in the "TURKSOY" International Organization Zemfira Khasanova visited the Academy as well.

"TISBI" Academy met the guests according to a Tatar tradition - national sweet dish "chak-chak".

For the last academic year "TISBI" and Gazi University have developed a very close partnership, and on the first day Rector of the Academy of Management "ТISBI" Professor Nella M. Pruss received the guests.

During the meeting with "TISBI" administration - vice rectors, deans of the faculties and heads of the departments discussed the issues of education in Russia and Turkey, as well future trends for cooperation between our institutions in academic work.

Vice Rector for International Cooperation Liliya T. Miftakhutdinova, Head of the Social and Cultural Services Department Elvira R. Sadykova and Head of the IT Centre Dmitriy V.Polyakov acquainted the representatives of the Turkish university with the facilities of our Academy. The guests visited TISBI faculties and centers, distinguishing it from other educational institutions not only in Tatarstan, and in Russia as well - International UNESCO Chair, Expert Centre on Heritage Preservation, Federal Experimental Site on Education for the Invalids and the Deaf, Centre of the Gesture-translation, Legal Advice Clinic, etc.

Gazi University administration got interested in way of living of a usual Tatarstan student and so they associated with "TISBI" undergraduates. To know where a TISBI student spends his days the guests paid a call to academic halls, multimedia and computer rooms, the library, training, fitness and dance halls, media and photo studios.

Students of the Academy TISBI prepared for the guests a concert program and presented national Tatar and Russian dances and songs. Auditory handicapped students, studying at "TISBI" on the special educational programs for the deaf, performed an item with a song in a gesture language.

In the framework of the visit "TISBI" administration organized for the Gazi delegation meeting with representatives of the bodies of the Tatarstan government, in particular, with the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Zilya R. Valeeva, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ludmila Nagumanova, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Kondratyev.

The program of the visit was very saturated. Within the frames of it the guests could see Tatarstan as a multicultural community and visited The State History and Architecture Preserve - Open Air Museum "Kazan Kremlin" and The Virgin Monastery of Raifa.
