"TISBI" participates in the Days of Europe
On March 23-30, 2010 Kazan for the second time hosted
the Days of Europe aimed at popularizations of cultures and languages
of European countries and supported by the Department of foreign
Affairs at President of the Republic of Tatarstan and Ministry of
Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The program was very extensive and within the frame of
the Days of Europe a lot of events such as debates, concerts, exhibitions
and even gastronomic festival were held. Kazan citizens could "open
their own Europe": cultural, educational and political.
Representatives and students of the Academy of Management "TISBI"
took part in all events devoted to the Days of Europe.
On March 26, 2010 the forum "European programs and the Bologna
process in Russia" http://www.ksu.ru/eng/podrobnee.php?id=423
with participation of EU experts, representatives of higher education
institutions of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Elabuga, Almetyevsk and Zelenodolsk
took place at the conference hall of the Scientific Library named after
N.I.Lobachevsky. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of RT Andrey
Pominov, Head of the Department of Press and Information Denis Daniilidis,
Director of the Tempus Program Russian office Olga Oleynikova were
among them. The Academy of Management "TISBI" was represented
by Lilia T. Miftakhutdinova, Vice Rector for International Cooperation.


Within the frame of educational programs' presentation
"Study in Europe" students and post-graduated students
of Kazan universities, including the Academy of Management "TISBI",
got acquainted with scholarship programs of the European countries as
Spain, Finland, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden, the Netherlands and Italy.
One of the most significant events of the Days of Europe was the Round
table for the Kazan students-members of the European youth club "Euroyouth
- Kazan" with participation of Fernando Valensuela, Head
of the Representation of the European Union in the Russian Federation.

The meeting took place in the Academy of the State and
Municipal Management at the President RT. The participants had a unique
possibility to discuss with the honoured guest issues, concerning the
changes brought in the internal and external policy of the European Union
countries after Lisbon Treaty ratification. "TISBI" students
Marat Fattahov, Peter Malahaltsev and Guzel Nurieva took part in
the discussion with presentation, devoted to the European Union voting
system - qualified majority voting.

On March 27, 2010 the grand opening ceremony was held
in the "Korston" hotel and it became the culmination of the
Days of Europe. Albert Gilmutdinov, Minister of Education and Science
of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Fernando M.Valensuela, Head of
Representation of the European Union in Russia, took part in it and made
their welcoming speeches.

The opening ceremony continued with the debate "Higher
education today: globalization and regional aspects". Rectors of
Kazan universities and higher educational institutions of some European
countries as Germany, Italy and Estonia partake as speakers. Our Academy
took part in the event as well: students Guzel Nurieva, Denis Popleskin,
Aydar Faretdinov, Elvira Chatanova and Victoria Ivantsova, specializing
in International Affairs, and Vice Rector for International Cooperation
Lilia T. Miftakhutdinova.

On March 27 lessons in 11 foreign languages -
Spanish, German, Polish, Swedish, Italian, French, Greek, Slovene, Hungarian,
Estonian and Finnish - "My first European language lesson" were
given at the Kazan State University by representatives of embassies, language
centers and the European commission.

"TISBI" Students took an advantage to get
acquainted with the European languages and touched European cultures with
great pleasure.
The meeting with Nagi Ishtvan, Director of the Hungarian Cultural
Centre in Russia, and student-members of the Euroclub was held on March
27. "TISBI" students Marat Fattahov, Denis Asjakin, Peter
Malahaltsev, Denis Popleskin, Aydar Faretdinov and Guzel Nurieva were
also among them. During the conversation Nagi Ishtvan spoke on the issues
of globalization and internationalization in higher education and told
about Hungarian cultural traditions and problems of modern Hungary.

The gastronomic festival took place at the "Juseppe"
restaurant ended the Days of Europe.


Organizers followed the slogan "All flags visit
us". The students of the Academy of Management "TISBI"
tasted the "flags" of the European Union countries laid out
of sweets, fruit and vegetables and visited master classes of the European
cooks held within the frame of gastronomic festival.
