Rectors of three Russian Universities and the Chan Chun University (China) met regarding inclusive education
RECTORS OF RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES MEET WITH RECTOR OF THE CHAN
CHUN UNIVERSITY (CHINA)
On March 10, 2010 at the Moscow City University of Psychology
and Pedagogics Rectors of three Russian Universities and the Chan Chun University
(China) met regarding inclusive education.

Rector of the Moscow City University of Psychology and Pedagogics
Vitaliy V. Rubtsov received the delegations from the Chan Chun University (China),
the Academy of Management "TISBI" (Kazan) and the Moscow State University
of Technology named after Bauman.
The foregoing educational institutions are among the few in
Russia, giving higher education to handicapped people.

The Chan Chun University is one of the leading universities
in the world training children with health impairments and educating students
with different handicaps. It is famous for its unique library for the blind
and visually impaired people. The Chan Chun University cooperates with many
Russian High Schools in training invalids and preparing personnel as escort
for handicapped people.
Rector of the Chan Chun University Pan Fulin headed
the delegation, numbering the Director of the Institute for International Contacts
and Culture, Professor of Linguistics, Candidate of Philology Van Tszinlin,
and the Chief of the International Department Hau Chuan Min.
The Academy of Management "TISBI" was represented
by its Rector Prof. Nella M. Pruss, Dean of the Distance learning Faculty
Zahariy M. Pekerman and Vice Rector for International Cooperation Liliya
T. Miftakhutdinova. The Academy of Management "TISBI" for more
than ten years has been educating the deaf and auditory and physically handicapped
people as well. TISBI actively carries out the policy of inclusive education,
implying that handicapped students are included in studies with usual students.
Nowadays about 300 invalids, among them 33 deaf and hard of hearing students,
study at the Academy.

Moscow State University of Technology named after N. Bauman
was represented by the Director of the Head Research Centre for Professional
Rehabilitation of people with health impairments Alexander G. Stanevsky.
During the meeting rectors discussed a lot of questions concerning further
cooperation between their universities and the exchange of experience in inclusive
education.
Cooperation between the Academy of Management "TISBI" and the Chan
Chun University began more than a year ago and has been developed in various
extra activities. Since that the International Cooperation Departments of these
educational institutions has been working out exchange programs for students,
specialized in economics from the beginning of the next academic year.
