Executive Director of TISBI UNESCO Chair participates in the International Congress (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra)

On September 17- 18, 2009 Khanty-Mansiysk hosted an International Congress of UNESCO chairs on Education for Sustainable Development.

The following officials took part in the Congress: Chairman of the Congress, Chairman of the Russian Federation UNESCO Chairs Coordinating Committee, Rector of the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir K. Egorov; Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Grigory E. Ordzhonikidze; Director of the Moscow UNESCO Office Dendev Badarch; Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra Alexander V. Filipenko. About 80 participants arrived in Khanty-Mansiysk and representatives from 20 countries, as Russia, Spain, Brazil, Kuwait, Pakistan, were among them.

The TISBI Academy was represented by Dr. Zulfija Safina, Executive Director of TISBI UNESCO Chair, "Training and retraining of specialists under market economy conditions". Dr. Safina made a presentation "Heritage Management in the context of Sustainable Development".
