B.H.M.S. Representative Visits "TISBI"

On October 23, 2009 Regional Marketing Director of B.H.M.S. Business & Hotel Management School (Switzerland) Mr.Magdi Atall visited the Academy of Management "TISBI" and was received at the Rector Prof. Dr. Nella Pruss.

Cooperation between the Academy of Management "TISBI" and B.H.M.S. Business & Hotel Management School began on March 2009, when Mr Atalla visited Kazan with the representatives of Swiss universities. During the negotiations "TISBI" representatives - Vice Rector for International Cooperation Lilia Miftakhutdinova, the Head of Social and Cultural Services Chair Elvira Sadykova - and Mr. Atalla reached first arrangements concerning exchange programs for "TISBI" students from the Social and Cultural Services and Tourism departments. Mr. Atalla made a presentation "Global Career in Tourism" for these students on April 2009 in our Academy.

This October meeting contributed to the cooperation between "TISBI" and B.H.M.S., which is interested in expansion of its activity in Russian education market, especially in the Tatarstan Republic, because in 2013 Kazan is preparing to host the Summer Universiade.

It was agreed to begin with short-term internships which will give to "TISBI" students, specializing in Tourism and Services the opportunity to study and practice in Swiss hotels and restaurants for several weeks. There was also discussed a potentiality for "TISBI" bachelor students to obtain Master's degree in B.H.M.S during an academic year with a diploma of the Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen, UK).

Both parties expressed their interest for the partnership and decided to conclude a bilateral cooperation agreement.
