Distance Learning

Distance learning through internet-based technologies is an important part of TISBI's educational activities.

The Internet-based distance learning system was developed by TISBI in 2000 with the use of cutting edge Russian and foreign information technologies. It has acquired state registration: Russian Patent Certificate number 2002610131, 2002620069 and is one of the first to be internationally certified by ISO 9001-2001: Certificate number РОСС RU.ИС66.К00021.

TISBI provides higher education and secondary professional training to handicapped students through internet-based distance learning system which was developed and implemented in TISBI.

Distance learning - assumes education through interactive specialized educational environment. The material is presented in modules and provided through latest information technologies. It also implies exchange of academic information, academic support and educational administration at distance.

Distance learning - is individualized. Students are immersed in interactive educational environment with full control over the student's performance, individual planning and testing from the center of distance education.

Distance learning - is a guarantee of constitutional right to education and social guarantee to Russian citizens. It ensures access to education to those who previously could not have it, especially from remote areas.
